Body High is a four-track EP — and it's too early to gauge if Harrison Brome has staying power. The Vancouver-raised musician delivers peak bedroom-produced pop and R&B-flavoured vibes, hitting all the required notes for streaming playlist consumption.

Body High is nothing out of the ordinary, but offer glimpses of Brome's potential. "9 to 5" is the most commercial-sounding and constructed number, a breezy, inoffensive ditty with lyrics like "find a girl like you" and "take it slow." "Jaded" feels like an early Allan Rayman cut, a darkly produced composition; the title track, "Body High" has Brome dabbling in his higher vocal register, basking in the lustful glow of a lover; "Looking at You" leans on sparse synths to convey a feeling of helplessness over falling for someone.

The lo-fi producer serves Brome well and despite the limited range of emotional range on display, there is enough here to appreciate.
